Multiple Layers Scrapbook Page

12x12 Layout with 5x7 photo.

multiple layers...burlap, tickets, twine, envelope, lace, metal embellishment...

Papers are from the This and That, Echo Park Collection
In the past 5 weeks, at last count, I have made 75 scrapbook pages, consisting of over 190 pictures!  Crazy heh?  I am typically an all or nothing type person.  When I am obsessed with creating something....Watch Out! I will create until I am totally bored with it all.  So far I am not bored.  Any sane person should be, but I have found out that most creative people are not very sane.  I have finally realized that the pages are a piece of art.  It takes time to come up with creative layouts....from the simplest one to the not so simple.  Today I worked on a 12x12 layout with multiple layers.  Believe it or not this one only took me about 45 minutes to complete!  I can honestly say it is my favorite one yet!!

Elegant Boy Layout...

This is a 12x12 layout.  The picture is 5x7.

The butterfly is a pin picked up at a local yard sale.

The beads are pieces of a vintage necklace...a flea market find..and the simple "love" charm says it all.

The flower adds a perfect accent...

and of course the matching bling!
Who ever said a boy's scrapbook layout isn't suppose to be elegant and beautiful?  This one is and it  has lace, bling, a butterfly and  a flower!  This wasn't an easy layout to come up with...but the picture of my grandson that was taken last summer,  is absolutely beautiful!  How could I not make a layout to match it or at least come close to matching it's beauty.

Scrapbook Crazy...

I have been a little crazy with the scrapbook-ing fever.  My grandson turned 3 years old in January, and I am three years behind.  But the rate I am going I will be caught up in no time!
It has been a little difficult in creating layouts.

I have tried to keep it simple, but at the same time use a bit of creative accents.

I love using banners!  They are my one of my favorite accents.  I love the 3 Dimensional effect they have.
I love the idea of covering shipping tags with coordinating papers and adding them to the page.

The other day I picked up the We R Memory Keepers Album and some pages.  These pages are so much fun to create! They allow you to add multiple photos and are not overwhelming to create.  I used 6x6 paper pads for most of these pages.   Most of these paper pads come with pages that have mini journal tags in them so it makes it even easier to create.

Let's Ride Layout

The more I create layouts the better they look,...yes I am tooting my own horn.  I find it isn't easy to come up with a design.  Even when I surf the web looking at other peoples layouts, you would think it would be easier to do, but it isn't. This layout I used My Mind's Eye-Boy Crazy collection. I absolutely love the papers. I am not a big fan of stickers, but  adhered to card stock paper, allowed  me to use them as 3 dimensional embellishments.

Scrapbook Layouts

I haven't done any scrapbook layouts in forever.  So thought I would try a couple of pages.  I used "All About A Boy" collection by Echo Park.  Love the papers!
